15 Reasons We are All Ready to Return to Campus

Why Going Back To School Actually Rocks

Back in our younger years, the end of summer was an end to sunshine, freedom and happiness. Now, it seems the complete opposite is true.

Back to school is almost like Christmas morning except with more girls, beer, and all-American freedom. No matter how you spent your summer, be it factory life, relaxing by the pool, or even working that dream internship in your college town of choice, the beginning of fall semester is something we all eagerly await. While we were certainly happy to step away from the dull responsibility of class for a bit, those feelings didn't last long. Thankfully, it's about time to go back.

One piece of knowledge I’ve picked up on while attending a small,

private school in the Midwest is that fall semester is one hell of a ride. The new year represents new beginnings, and for some of us, its our last hurrah as we take our final collegiate lap before reality hits next spring. Here are just a few reasons why we are ready for the big return to school.

(1) You’re back with the squad and all is good in the world.

(2) Girls

(3) Boys

(4) Freshmen

(5) Education (HA nerds! No, actually very important).

(6) People are tan, fit and happy.

(7) Freedom

(8) Nice weather makes people want to go out and do... activities.

(9) Sports

(10) Tailgating

(11) Classes are easy (at least for the first month).

(12) You get away from your nagging (loving) families and fall back into your independent (negligent, wild and poor) lifestyle.

(13) Nobody has run out of money yet. You’ve still got all the money you earned over the summer plus that extra cash your grandma gave you so you don’t go hungry (or for beer).

(14) You are free of all duties and responsibilities (except class and maybe a job/internship).

(15) Nobody is homesick yet. Everyone is excited to be here and life is good.

Summer is coming to a close, but the best is yet to come. Here’s to one hell of a year.
