Why Girls Do What We Do

As girls we can do some pretty crazy things...here's my explanation regarding a few!

Why Girls Do What We Do

As girls, why do we...

Make the “o" shape with our mouth when putting on mascara?

We just do okay?! (actually, there could be a little science behind it, some say the nerves connected to your eyelids are also connected to your mouth)

Ask for one of your fraternity shirts, and complain until we get the specific one we want?

We love oversized comfort colors, heck we buy them ourselves. Believe it or not, we sometimes like wearing someone else's letters

Tell you not to text us and get even more upset when you actually don't text us?

This can be tricky.. sometimes we say that because we're mad and really just want you to text us anyway and other times we really don't want you to text us .. proceed on this one with caution.

Run to the other side of your body right before we take the picture saying “wait this is my good side?"

Oh hush, ask any girl.. we all have a good side.

Play around with millions of filters before choosing the perfect one for Instagram?

I can't explain it, for some reason the original picture just won't do.

Complain about needing to go to the gym while eating unhealthy food?

It's just the way the cookie crumbles okay?! ( see I'm still thinking about food)

Make you feel my legs after having shaved them?

If you just spent 10 minutes shaving you would do the same.

Choose the go to “duck face?"

Y'all have that infamous hair shake so leave our duck faces alone.

Stand in front of a closet full of clothes while still saying we have nothing to wear?

This is a classic, can't help ya there.

So why have you been putting up with us all this time? Because we girls are sugar and spice and everything nice... and frankly you wouldn't want it any other way!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
