Many things filled our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds in 2016. From Joe Biden memes to the death of Harambe, a new social media "fad" seemed to cross our feeds weekly. However, I believe the highlight of (at least my own) social media feed in 2016 were the memes or shared pictures of geckos. Here are some of the best ones:

I might be slightly biased, due to owning two of my own crested geckos, but from leopards to cresties, and gargoyles to anoles, geckos are sweeping the internet, and I think we can all hope to see more of them in 2017!
