The Importance Of Family

Nothing in life other than God is more important than family.

The Importance Of Family
Carson Schlotfeldt

To me family is one of the most important things in my life. It is higher than everything in my life other than my faith. Most people in this world think that your family is only the people that you are related to by blood or marriage.

To you, I say that is not true.

Yes, your family is the people that you are related to by blood or marriage, but it is also much more. Family is people you can always talk to when you need to. Family is people you can always count on to be there to support you through anything and everything. Family pushes you to be the best you can be. Family is people you look forward to seeing no matter what, and family is people who care about you like you are their son, daughter, brother or sister. There are many people in my life that I am not related to by blood or marriage, but they are family.

The greatest thing about family is their support for you through everything you do. My family has supported me through my many years of football. I can’t thank them enough for that. There would be times when I would doubt my abilities, but they would be there to pick me back up and remind me of what I am capable of because of God. My family pushes me to also do the best I can in difficult times because they know that it will help me in the long run. I appreciate my family and all they do for me. They are the most important thing in my life behind my faith, and I wouldn’t trade them for anyone.

Family does so much for you. Take in what they do for you and teach you and always tell them you love them even when you are mad at them because you never know when you won’t ever see them again. Love your family no matter what and thank them for everything they do.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
