Four reasons why fall is the best season.

Why I "Fall" In Love With Fall

The leaves are beautiful.

F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” Crisp leaves in the fall is my favorite site. The auburn colors God blesses the leaves during this season are the best we get all year. Playing in the big piles of leaves, teenager or child, is also the best thing for fun you can do all year. Even though the leaves fall off the trees and leave them naked and bare, the trees still look artistic. You can see the forming of the trees that you didn’t get to before and although that might not really matter, they still look cool when you’re going on a walk or driving by them. The scenery of fall is just beautiful.

Pumpkins everywhere!

Pumpkin flavors, pumpkin scents, pumpkin decorations, and pumpkin patches! Nothing is better than that first day of fall sipping a pumpkin spice frappe or latte. Being a coffee lover, you wait year round for the flavor to be released by the nearest Starbucks. Nothing is more peaceful than sitting in Starbucks reading a book, drinking a pumpkin chai tea latte, and looking out the window watching the leaves fall. Not to mention that fall brings pumpkin pie! They say apple pie is the most “basic” and “best” pie to love but I say you’re crazy if you don’t annually want pumpkin pie or even the pumpkin pie blizzard. Pumpkin decorations are the cutest and are you even really American if you don’t always carve pumpkins? I’m not an artistic person, but going to a pumpkin patch, picking out a pumpkin, then taking it home to carve it is the highlight of my October. Pumpkin patches are also the funnest places to go for family days, dates, and even with yourself, which is perfectly normal and okay. Hay-rack rides, haunted houses, and corn mazes make enjoying life so much easier.

The best holidays (aside from Christmas) are included!

Halloween and Thanksgiving are the most pleasurable holidays created! On Halloween, you get to pick whoever you want to be for a day. Nothing’s better than skipping out on reality for 24 hours. Plus, you get free candy, which is every girl’s dream! Not to mention that after Halloween, all the leftover candy goes on sale, so you get even more candy! The scary masks, decorations, and movies are a person who loves being scared dream come true on Halloween and being one, seeing it all is almost better than the candy. Not quite, but close.

Thanksgiving then brings so much food that you won’t even know what to do with. Again, every girl’s dream. The best part of Thanksgiving is that it’s socially acceptable for you to stuff your face until you feel as if you’re about to pop. You get to see family and dress nice, but piles on piles of good food is my true adoration.

The clothes are the best.

Leggings, Uggs, sweaters, and plaid are the best combinations to wear ever! Not only are they comfortable, but they’re in style. Oversized sweatshirts are also socially acceptable and you get to feel like you’re swarmed by Heaven in them all the time. Long boots and scarves also come into play during the fall. Anything looks good with long brown or black boots so that’s less time you have to pick out outfits, meaning more sleep, which is a third thing every girl dreams about, including myself. LET’S NOT FORGET FUZZY SOCKS EITHER. Haters might think they’re ugly, but they’re the best piece of clothing in the world, feet down.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
