It's finally fall! Who's excited?

1. Leaves

I love watching the leaves change colors. As you are driving around, the road winds through these amazing harvest colors. Not to mention, when leaves fall it becomes this wonderfully, serene view. The transition through leaves from summer to fall and fall to winter is truly my favorite moments. Raking and jumping in them might be another!

2. Comfortable Weather

It must be that fresh, crisp air that says, "Goodbye summer, now you won't die from a heat stroke!" It's the perfect weather as days get shorter and cooler. In addition, I can wear my favorite clothes together: shorts and hoodies!

3. Halloween

Some might say that Halloween is for kids or drunk college kids, but I don't care. I love to plan a costume and dress up! I even love handing out candy to children because their costumes are always on point!

4. Bonfires

Warm, cozy nights by the fire are a dream come true. Grab a loved one or friend, a beer and you are set!

5. Thanksgiving

Turkey. Stuffing. Mashed potatoes. Pies. It is the perfect holiday for anyone who likes food. My mom always does a big spread and I wouldn't want it any other way. I get to eat anything I want all day and that is truly fantastic. Just remember to wear stretchy pants.

6. Yummy Hot Drinks

Anything pumpkin spice...All flavors of hot cocoa....My favorite fall drink is hot apple cider. Yum!

7. Apple & Pumpkin Picking

Yes, I still do this! I can enjoy a wonderful day outside, roaming orchards. The best part is being picky about your apples and reaching for ones you will never get. Also, you can judge all the funny looking apples and ones that fell on the ground.

8. Scarves

The best time of year to add color to your wardrobe! Bonus: They are so warm and comfy!

9. All The Festivals

Corn fest. Apple fest. Peach fest. Sunflower festival. So many to choose from that I'm just going to hit them all!

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
