This pre-loaded and free app from iPhone users has saved my own ass as well as my friends too many times to count. While most people think it’s “creepy” to be able to know where all of your friends are just by looking at the app, it is actually extremely convenient and can be helpful for nights out on the weekends.

Before you say "no way, I don’t want every one of my friends to be able to find my exact location any time they please," remember that you have to allow people to follow you first and you can choose only specific people to be able to see where you are located. You can also turn off your location even for your followers at any time so nobody can find you. It’s really not as creepy as some may think; it is so convenient that my friends and I use it all the time and for good reasons. The app can not only use its GPS locater to locate the person or people you want to find, it will also use the GPS in maps to get you there.

In a serious situation, the app is especially useful. My friends and I use it to be sure that if one of us were walking, especially at night or on a weekend, that they made it home safe. If we lose track of someone on the weekends and they aren’t answering their phone, we are able to locate them using "Find My Friends" in a matter of seconds. This app can seriously help in situations where if someone is left alone and are potentially unsafe, they don't even have to be on their phone or calling us physically for us to find them. It can also be useful to be able to track your own phone from someone else’s to see where you left it the day or night before and be able to retrieve it.

This app may seem quite stalker ish or that it would be uncomfortable to know that your followers can look up your location at any given time, but it really can be helpful in safety situations where your friend is lost or not answering or for convenience to see if your friend is at home or work and if you can stop in. This app is seriously a life-saver and my friends and I use it religiously for good reasons, and if your friends have a tendency to get separated from the group easily, this is what you need for them.

It's also nice to know, when you have the app and others are able to locate you, that if you ever were to be in an unsafe situation or if you find yourself somewhere alone that your friends would be able to find you if you needed very quickly without you even having to text them.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
