When we were little we all watched Disney movies, most of them starring a princess, and wanted to be just like them. I used to idolize Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine and Aurora growing up. Well, here I am at 21 years old and will proudly state that I still want to be like a Disney princess and here are 5 reasons why.Â
1. The hair
I mean come on, Disney makes blondes, brunettes and red heads look flawless without even trying. No matter how humid the day, what evil character they are running from, or where they slept the night before their hair is always perfect.  I can’t even count the times that I have woken up with a birds nest on the top of my head yet Disney princesses get to wake up looking like a million bucks! Well besides Princess Anna from Frozen. She understands that the hair struggle is real.Â
2. Animal friendsÂ
Snow White got random wild animals to clean up the Dwarfs house while Cinderella’s got really helpful mice and birds to make her a lovely gown. Ariel’s best friends were Flounder, a fish, and Sebastian, a lobster, who both went on wild adventures with her and even helped her find her true love. I’m lucky if my dog doesn’t chew up my shoes.Â
3.The glamourÂ
Princesses can wear a gown, or in Jasmines case really cool pants, wherever they go. They put on stylish makeup, glitzy jewels and curl their hair in perfect spirals every day and act like it’s so casual.  Can you imagine showing up to class with full prom hair and a poofy gown on? Your teachers and classmates would probably laugh you right out of the classroom.
4. LoveÂ
Girls have always dreamed about their Prince and Disney just amplifies that day dream. The idea that someone in the world is right for you is tantalizing even at a young age. For Disney Princesses they always have someone to love-someone really hot and dreamy too.  Â
5. MagicÂ
Between the fairies in Sleeping Beauty, the fairy god mother in Cinderella, genie in Aladdin, and king Triton's trident what kind of girl doesn't want that awesome magic in her life?!Â
I will say that, just like real people, life can be difficult for Disney princesses too. For example, Jasmine got forced into almost marrying the wicked Jafar so that he would become a King, Snow White almost died from a poison apple the evil Queen tricked her to eat, and Ariel lost her voice and almost got turned into a dead plant by Ursula, Cinderella got forced to stay home from the ball and clean her step mother and step sister’s house. We can now sleep easy knowing with all of the good things that comes with being a Disney Princess there are just as many bad things.Â
