Why Every College Student Needs a Good Planner

When I was preparing to go to school, I knew that I needed to order a planner to get through the year.

Maybe it's my organization-freak tendencies, but I have come to realize that this has been an essential part to my life as a college student.

Combing through all of those emails, flicking through each of the syllabi, and keeping track of events can be a lot for one person to manage.

Having everything in one contained space helps me feel less stressed and gain some piece of mind.

In fact, just crossing off an assignment in a planner helps me to feel accomplished.

When I got to school, I realized that almost all of my suite mates and friends had planners too. They're all different, so it is really what you prefer!

One option, for those more artistically inclined, is bullet journaling. You can buy a gridded journal, and map out your own designs for how you want your planner set up.

There are plenty of YouTube videos and kits that you can utilize for this.

My one friend does it, and she is extremely talented, but if you are more of a purchaser than a creator (like myself), there are customizable sites such as Erin Condren, Plum Paper, Paper Source, and so many more!

I found a good quality planner on Amazon. My trick for this is to look at the insides and see if it's the layout you prefer as well as look at the reviews to make sure the quality is what you need.

I know this may seem like an extremely girly thing, but I would recommend this for anyone, regardless of gender.

We all forget things in the midst of such crazy schedules, so something as simple as keeping everything written in one place can help make your year a success!

Some people may prefer digital or on their phone instead, but I feel that writing things down helps me remember them more.

So please consider investing in a planner!!! You won't regret it.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
