As you're probably wondering, the answer is no he did not lose his job over this accusation. His subjective opinion was once false again, considering the following day Chip Kelly proceeded to pick up Demarrco Murray. Who is in fact black, which therefor ruins Smiths opinion of releasing McCoy because of Racism. Reporters/newscasters have a duty to share actual news and facts of todays sports world. At what cost does having more tviewers mean you have to stop sharing the stats and real problems? If they are attempting to get attention they have received it, but not in a positive way. If they want to be known for their show then they have received it, but not in a positive way.
Stephen A. Smith once said:
"I report stuff weeks in advance and get vilified for it. But when it comes to fruition, no one remembers they vilified me…I won't tell you anything. I have nothing to prove. If you don't like it, don't watch me. I don't have to do it . I have a radio show, a TV show and a column. I don't need to do that." (bleacherreport.com)To Smith, I say this:
If you spent half as much time trying to pick a special vocabulary word in a sentence then I would suggest channeling that energy into making an intelligent sports opinion that isn't subjective. And your right, I don't have to watch you. I don't care to watch you. I wish you would report real sports news. I don't have to watch your show and that is why I am telling other viewers not to watch this show.
ESPN… please stop this show and help the fans of sports. We want to hear the real sports news of today.
