Why Dr. Spencer Reid Is The Man Of My Dreams

Dr. Spencer Reid is everyone's favorite crime-fighting super genius from the highly popular CBS show, Criminal Minds. Actor Matthew Gray Gubler's portrayal of this adorable FBI agent has won over the hearts of everyone who watches the show and it's often hard to remember that Dr. Spencer Reid isn't a real person, unfortunately.

He's cute, he's nerdy, he's sensitive, he has a lactose issue---he's the full package. If you didn't know who this little cupcake was before reading this article, allow me to educate you. I'm not saying that I'm judging you for not watching Criminal Minds, but I am in fact judging you for not watching Criminal Minds. Let me fill you in with a list of the things that make him perfect:

1. His hair.

Over the last 10 seasons of Criminal Minds, Dr. Reid's hair has gone from long, to short, to curly, to straight, and every single way it's been styled has been #flawless. Every season, it looks different; and every season, I'm not mad about it. Anyone else want to run their hands through those locks? No? Just me? Alright.

2. His glasses.

Dr. Reid doesn't always wear glasses, but when he does, he looks like the nerd of my dreams. He serves a real Clark Kent, "I will save you with my intellect" look. It speaks to me. He also dabbles in the art of sunglass wearing. Inspirational stuff, really.

3. His brain.

It's no secret that Reid is the smartest member of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. He has an eidetic memory which allows him to recall anything and everything he's ever heard, seen, smelled, read, or touched in seconds. He is more often than not the one that solves the cases.

I have one case I'd like him to solve... (Not sure where I was going with that but, you get the idea.)

4. His bravery.

Reid doesn't only save the day with his smarts, he also saves it with is guts. There are so many times that he risks his life for those of his teammates and the victims he is trying to save. He even saves the criminals sometimes! Every girl loves a man in a bullet proof vest, am I right, ladies?

5. His heart.

The best part of Dr. Reid is his capacity to love and care for everyone and everything. He genuinely cares about the agents on his team and he puts his heart into every case he has. Sometimes, he can't help but become attached to certain victims and cases, and if things don't go according to plan, he gets his heart broken. And, let me tell you, when Dr. Reid cries, the whole world cries.

Disclaimer: I promise I know he's not real, but a girl can dream, right?

I bet you wish he was real too. You've got a real winner here, CBS. Don't you dare kill him off. Or send him away. Or do anything except give him more screen time because the world needs it. The world needs Dr. Spencer Reid.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
