Lord Voldemort, He Who Must Not Be Named, Who-Know-Who, or whatever you like to call him, the villain of the Harry Potter series is an evil, heartless man set out to divide the wizarding world. Unfortunately, the magical world that is Harry Potter is only a made up place, but if it were real, here are five reasons our President-elect of the United States and Lord Voldemort are pretty much the same person.
1. Trump: His main goal as president is to get rid of immigrants who were not born in America.
Voldemort: His main goal is to rid of the world of all wizards who are not born with wizard parents, called muggle-borns.
2. Trump: Uses fear of terrorism in the United States to scare people into achieving his political goals.
Voldemort: Places fear onto wizards by threatening or killing loved ones to achieve his political goals.
3. Trump: Supports a white supremacy
Voldemort: Supports a pure-blood supremacy
4. Trump: Uses his power as a public figure for evil, like promoting a racist agenda.
Voldemort: Uses his power as an influential wizard to have control over the wizarding world.
5. Trump: Overall a big bully who capitalizes on fear.
Voldemort: Overall a big bully who capitalizes on fear.
Well that’s all folks, the similarities of these two villains are undeniable and should not be ignored. Who will be our Harry Potter and save us from this evil in 2020?!? Until then, here are some wise words from Dumbledore himself, “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
