"Why Do You Go Home Every Weekend?'

Stop judging me for going home!

"Why Do You Go Home Every Weekend?'

"Why do you go home every weekend?" "Where are you going?" "Where do you live?"

These are questions I get all a lot when I am at school, but especially on Fridays. Some people choose to stay at school over the weekend. Me on the other hand, I usually decide to go home whenever humanly possible. This doesn't mean I don't love my school, because believe me...I do! The weekend is a time for me to get away and breathe. The weekend is a time for me to sleep in my own bed and wake up to my cat in my face.

One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to be with my loved ones. I miss them so much during the week, I can't stay away from them any longer. It's nice to go home to a home cooked meal instead of the normal school food. My favorite part is when my kitty cuddles up to me while I'm doing my homework; that is something I don't get at school.

By Sunday afternoon, I am ready to get back to my second home and tackle the week. OK, maybe I tackle some weeks better than others, but you know what I mean. The weekend away from school gives each week a fresh start. When I stay at school over the weekend, I feel as though the week drags on for ages.

Anyhow, there is just a certain comfort of being home. The place where you grew up and your parents live. Your teddy bears are all at your home too. Your pets are all around and you don't have to wear shower shoes. Oh and you get to do your laundry for free! That's sure a plus.

I may not have a valid reason to leave college for the weekend, but sometimes you just have to make a trip home.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
