Whether you’ve visited the famous Walt Disney World in Florida, the original Disneyland in California, or have traveled to one of the other five Disney Resorts across the world, you have surely experienced the magic created by the one and only Walt Disney.
Since its debut in 1955, Walt Disney’s first park, Disneyland, has welcomed more than 650 million guests. Why so high a number you ask? Well, Disney is truly the happiest place on earth!
The moment you step into the park, you are transcended into another universe, literally. Every Disney Park is unique in its own way with different themes, colors, sounds, and characters. The employees in the parks are not called workers, but cast members, so as to allow its guests to feel as though they have stepped onto the set of a Disney movie.
Little girls are encouraged to dress up as princesses and are addressed as so. And, whether in costume or not, Disney cast members will never fail to make you feel welcome as you are guaranteed a smile and perhaps even a friendly hug.
Multiple times throughout the day the streets of the parks are roped off for their world famous parades. Giant musical floats carrying extravagantly dressed Disney characters flood the streets as men, women, and children stand and wave at their favorite heroes and villains.
Next, the rides. The rides are the main attraction at the Disney Parks for most people, especially those with older children. Your daredevil side can appreciate the exhilaration found in Disney, such as Space or Splash Mountain. Or if you are less of a thrill seeker, Disney parks offer numerous “show” type rides such as Walt Disney World’s most popular...and repetitive...It’s A Small World.
Finally, the best part of all and the happiest of times at the Disney resorts are what occur at night. Once the sun goes down, the magic comes alive as the firework show begins. The most spectacular fireworks you have ever seen light up the entire sky with the inspirational "When You Wish Upon A Star" playing in the background.
As a kid, being in Disney allows you to feel like you’re in your favorite Disney production as the set and the characters surround you. But as an adult, you appreciate the magic of Disney even more. Feelings of nostalgia for your childhood resonate in your heart as you see, hear, and feel the magic that Walt Disney desired to share and to pass down for generations to come.
