Gluten is a combination of proteins that include glutelins and gliadins that are usually found in wheat grains such as barley, spelt, wheat, and rye. Out of all the grains we have today, wheat is consumed the most. Ever since I came to college, I never really paid much attention to what I was eating.
I was noticing after not paying attention to what I was eating, I started to feel very tired and bloated most of the time. I started to go to the gym more and even take iron pills, but nothing seemed to help. After researching about different diets, I saw the gluten-free diet and was curious. I looked at it more closely and decided to do it and see if going gluten-free would make me feel less tired. After giving it a week, I did not feel much of a difference, but after two weeks I definitely started to notice a difference.
I was eliminating wheat and everything gluten in my diet, which made me feel healthier and more energetic. I can actually focus on my school work and not feel so tired!
I love the fact that I went gluten-free and encourage it for you, too!
