You probably read this and think, "Man, what a tool... writing about how much he loves to workout." Well fellow reader, let me dispel this very thought with a few points I believe to be quite valid relating to my life.
While I realize now I didn't have such a rough childhood, back then it sure felt like Hell on Earth. I was bullied quite often, called demeaning names and terms and only had a handful of friends. This didn't bother me much at all, especially by the time Justin was born, since I had a best friend in him. I wanted to make a change in my life by the time I was in junior high. While I did play tee-ball when I was first growing up, baseball as I moved from Aurora to Oswego and finally football in high school, I still felt something missing. With football, I definitely found myself in the gym both after practice as well as on my own time. Once my teammates saw somebody working out from the back, they were surprised to find me lifting those weights. Sure, I can give you all a cry-baby story of me in my life and "how hard" it was for me, but I definitely won't put you through that dullness.
One of the reasons I am so dedicated to fitness these days is because it's how I relieve all of my stress. Some people drink, smoke and find other methods of relieving their daily worries. While these might feel good at the time, they can start causing significantly negative effects on the body; the way I found is actually helping my body and making me immensely healthier. Not only does this help me feel great, but I also want to motivate others into taking on a healthier lifestyle. I want to be the reason somebody says, "because of you, I didn't give up." You'll find me making various posts about fitness, both with myself and in general. This isn't to annoy, irritate or brag. I do this to have people also adopt this desire. I post my daily workouts so others can have a good starting point. I also kind of have to stay in physical shape in order to do well in the military, so that also motivates me with my workouts. With me being a Specialist in the Army, I have the option to be promoted, but that promotion isn't ever just given to anybody.
Along with completing certain online classes, I have to keep passing my APFT, (army physical fitness test) and I have the possibility of being awarded an Army Achievement Medal for earning the highest score on this test. I am now a Coach for Beachbody, (the company that made P90X, Insanity, 22 Minute Hard Corps, etc.) and I couldn't be happier to start the work. Not only do I have fitness goals to reach, but I also want to help those achieve and exceed those possible same goals. I've also been given the name of Captain America from various places and from various people, so I have to definitely look the part.
