Why Country Music Is 10 Times Better In The Summertime

For all you country music lovers out there, this article is for you. I think we all can agree that there is absolutely nothing in the world like driving down a dirt road in the summertime with your windows down and your radio blasting some good ole’ country music. Before I was a fan, I never understood what the talk was all about. But four years in, and at least ten country concerts later, I fully get it. Don’t get me wrong, country music is good all year long, but there’s something about summertime that makes it ten times better. How? It’s got to be a combination of things. Sunshine. Warm temperatures. Beer. Whiskey. Freedom. Summer is a carefree time where you stay up later, you go on adventures, and you’re able to sit back and relax with your friends. You grill some hamburgers, you crack a drink, and you turn up the country music-- it’s only natural because that’s all about what country music preaches. Go get the girl (or guy), love America, and enjoy your life. The best thing about country music is that it truly celebrates the simplest things in life. It makes you want to be happy, live and love just a little bit more. It makes you realize that everything you’ve ever wanted and needed has always been right in front of you, if only you’re able to see it.

To be honest, during the summertime there’s never a bad time to listen to some country music. Whether it’s during the day when the sun is shining and you’re breaking a little sweat, or late at night while staring up at the stars, there’s a country song for everything. Whether you’re sad, happy, or mad. Whether you want Luke Bryan, Randy Houser, Florida Georgia Line, or Carrie Underwood, country music has it all. It can fit any mood, any day and any time. Summertime is what us country music lovers live for. It’s the time of the year we wait three seasons for.

If you don’t enjoy country music, you will never understand. You will never understand the way it can instantly put a smile on your face, and set a happy vibe for the day. You will never understand the way it makes a car ride a million times more bearable, or a long day’s work more worth it. You will never understand the bliss that comes from singing to your favorite country song at a summertime country concert. You simply just cannot comprehend the power of country music during the summertime.

I urge you, country music enthusiast or not, next time it’s a beautiful summer day, go for a drive, roll down the windows, and play a country song. I think you’ll be a little surprised at how wonderful it truly is during the summertime. And you never know, maybe you’ll just fall in love with the way it makes you feel.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
