Why College is the Best Four Years of Your Life, Not High School

College- a seven letter word that really excites all Seniors in high school. College is one the biggest transitions you will ever make in your life. You start this new chapter and you are not sure where this journey is going to take you. You meet new people in life that end up later meaning so much to you, you begin to take these new classes that you are actually interested in, and you are soon forced to live in a cubicle with a complete stranger. Although making the transition to high school to college is a little tough, the next four years spent in college are the best years of your entire life- not high school.

One of the best things about college is the freedom you receive. You no longer have a curfew from mom and dad, if you want to go back to your dorm room at 4 a.m., YOU TOTALLY CAN! You are now independent and you can just do about anything you want to do.

Since you are now in a completely different environment, you begin to meet new people. And these new people you meet in college will become your friends forever. These people will most likely be in your wedding and will be either your brides maids/groomsmen. In college you start to realize that you are friends with people that are more like you, people that have similar interests with you. Yes you have your friends from high school, but you then later realize that you lose contact with them and that they are completely different people now that they are in college… which can either be a negative or positive-depending on ones perspective.

But the main reason why we are all in college is to get that education. The classes do become more difficult, but everyone needs to be challenged-you cannot always find an easy way out. The one thing I miss about high school is the workload. I would go back, IN A HEART BEAT, to high school to do that homework all over again. High school work was not nearly enough workload like college is. But the many benefits about college classes is that whenever you are taking that quiz/test, YOU CAN LEAVE AFTERWARDS. THAT’S RIGHT, YOU DON’T HAVE TO SIT IN THE CLASSROOM UNTIL EVERYONE IS DONE; YOU CAN FLY OUT OF THE CLASSROOM-that was one of the many things I was annoyed about with high school.

Lastly, another reason why college is better than high school is because the memories you make will be the ones you remember the most and will be the best memories you ever make. The social gatherings and parties you have in college will be ten times more fun that than the high school parties you had in your garage. Even though you get more stressed in college than high school, as Tom Petty once said, “The work never ends, but college does.”

Does anybody know how to study

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
