Why Christmas Is The Best Holiday

Christmas is everything to me. This time of year brings so much joy into my life it's unreal. I am high on candy canes, pine trees, and everything red and green. I get excited about the smallest things and if I find something in a store that is Christmas related I instantly squeal a little bit. There is just something about this time of year that puts everyone in a better mood. I love the generosity that seems to spread around Christmas time. Basically anything to do with this time of year is a plus for me.

I've been in love with Christmas since before I could talk. Not just because of the presents, but because of the family and happiness that swirls the air. I have a huge Italian family that would get together around the holidays and it would definitely be a houseful. Everyone has a smile on their face and everything is great.

I see Christmas as a giving holiday. I love to donate and give whatever I can, even though I don't have that much. I also love to spoil my family and friends because they deserve it. They mean so much to me and if I can spoil them even a little bit, it makes me feel good inside.

Christmas is just a happy and magical time of year. It is a time to be thankful for what you have and to take a look at yourself and think about all of the good things in life. The movies, hot cocoa, and fuzzy socks make me so incredibly happy around this time of year.

Christmas makes me giddy and reminiscent of my childhood. I can only hope some of you feel the same way. This Christmas take the time to be thankful for those in your life and appreciate what you have. The holidays are full of cheer and merriment. Don't let anything get you down around this time of year. Do something for the greater good and your kindness will spread.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
