Did I mention their cute paws?

Why Cats are the Best

Who can resist the adorable face and fluffy paws of a cat? Sure dogs are known to claim the title of man's best friend but cats are the ultimate companion. Myself and other feline lovers can go on and on about the wonders of cats. Kittens truly bring joy to any family. I could not imagine my life without these fuzzy friends, even when they wake me up early or decided to chew on my homework.

8. Small Size

Most cats do not take up much space like bigger dogs. So if you have little kids running around they can't get pushed over or be timid around these animals. Also, cat will always fit perfectly in your lap.

7. Cats are reliable

Whenever you are having a bad day, cats are the perfect listener. They are wonderful at comforting you in your time of need. It is impossible not to smile when holding one tight.

6. Unique Language

When it comes to communication, the unique thing about cat is each one has a different meow, purr, and even some strange noises. Every cat owner has found themselves talking out loud to their cat, because we seem to understand exactly what they mean. Hearing them purr as they fall asleep is music to the ears.

5. Their Humor

Cats are definitely one of the most diverse species in the animal kingdom. Sometimes they are perceived as lazy and unmotivated but I have watched my cats try to squeeze into tiny boxes and chase after crows that are outside the window. They can get extremely playful and hyper. I cannot help but laugh when they slide across the floor trying to chase a tiny red laser beam.

4. The Look

Ah yes, every family with a cat has experienced the look of despair. This facial expression might appear shortly after you give your cat tiny kisses or your kids try and play dress up with the cat. They seem to be plotting their revenge, possibly by assassinating you while you sleep. However, we all know it is in good fun, especially once we feed them. All is forgiven.

3. The Paws

Of course I have to make this its own point. Their paws are just so holdable (despite cats hating that) and the underside is so squishy and adorable. Some cats are even known to have a mutation that gives them extra toes. They are known as polydactyls. It makes their paws ten times cuter!

2. Lack of Dirt

Unlike dogs, cats are not likely to roll in the mud or jump into puddles. They are self sufficient and prefer to be well groomed. This makes maintenance a whole lot easier for pet owners.

1. They are Healers

Cats have a natural curiosity and attraction when it comes to humans. When you bring them to hospitals, schools, or nursing homes they bring great comfort to others. It can really brighten someones day to interact with these magnificent creatures. Being happier can have a positive effect on someone's health.

Overall, cats are glorious animals with an interesting nature and loveable features. Life is always more exciting when you own a cat or two. They become a part of your personality, cat lovers are very adaptable and full of joy. Cats truly are the purr-fect pet.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
