Why Bunnies Are Awesome

Getting a bunny was the best decision I ever made.

Join me in reading a few reasons why I love bunnies! Especially mine :)

1. Um helloo bunnies are adorable!

Before I got a pet bunny, I was definitely a kitten/cat person. But now that I have a bunny of my own, I can never go back. Bunnies are awesome! They are so cute, and their fur is so soft, I can pet my bunny for hours. Well, only if he lets me.

2. Bunnies each have their own quirky little personality.

This may sound silly, but once I got my pet bunny I was pleasantly surprised with just how much character he had! For some reason I never really even thought about having a bunny as a pet; or that it would be as spunky as a pet dog.

3. Bunnies are easy to train, and in my opinion, pretty low maintenance.

Bunnies naturally pee/poop in one corner, so once they set up their corner, you're pretty much set on potty training. I'm not implying that they are the easiest pet to take care of, that would probably be a fish, but bunnies are low maintenance. They definitely need to spend time with people, and need things to chew on (not the carpet.) So just what you would expect from a pet. I just know that sometimes they are made up to be high maintenance but in my experience that hasn't been the case.

4. They do this thing called "a binky."

A binky is something a bunny does when they're very happy. Basically, while they're running they jump and twist super high in the air, sometimes in rapid concession. It's really funny to see. My bunny is small but can jump very high. Bunbun also runs around my feet in rapid circles, it's quite entertaining.

"I'm not like a regular bunny I'm a cool bunny."

5. My bunny comforts my soul.

Animals have always been comforting to me, it must be something to do with how round and innocent their eyes look. Bunbun up here, is basically the first pet I bought while not in the vicinity of my parents, so he really is my own, and he is just such a comfort to me, like any pet is really. He is so cute, and fluffy and loving.

I implore you to check out pictures of baby bunnies! Click on the pic for a direct link.

Like I said above, buying a bunny was really the best decision I made. If you are seriously considering buying a bunny though, please do your research so your pet will be healthy and happy! :) Treated correctly, they can live up to 8 years! They are a forever pet, not just a holiday pet.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
