Why My Brother Is My Best Friend

He is the kind of brother you would dream of having. Fights and all.

Why My Brother Is My Best Friend

We fuss, we fight, but we always turn out just right. Like any other sibling. But my brother is different.

My brother is best friend in the whole world.

He always gives the best advice, because he's been there and done just about everything. He is wise because he is seven years older than me. He is very intelligent, when he wants to be. He is a very passionate outdoors man. He runs his own business that shares his hunting diaries, as well as products.

My brother has always been there for me when I needed him. We have been through many things together. Many car accidents and family deaths, but we've been through good things too. When he went to boot camp in November of 2013, my heart felt all kinds of emotions. He had not long been divorced from his first wife and he came back home. We got close again and I was so happy about that because it had always been our mom, him, and I. There we were, a family again. Then he strikes us with, " I'm joining The Marine Corps." I had no problem with it because it is all throughout my family. The problem I had was wondering and worrying about him all the time. He may be my older brother but to me, he is my everything.

While he was at boot camp he would always write to me or my mother and say, "I love Cara's letters, make sure she keeps writing me. It helps me get through the days." I honestly couldn't tell you what I said to him because it has been so long. But I am glad I was there for him during that time because he didn't really have anyone but family. He missed every single holiday that year. But he graduated boot camp on Valentine's Day. Pretty romantic, huh?

He is the kind of brother you would dream of having.

However, I do get tormented, teased, and aggravated. You name it, it has probably happened. I can remember many stories of the things he did to me as a child, some good, some not so good.

Fast forward to the present, he has met an amazing wife. They are so unbelievably happy. I've never seen him that happy. It's like they were made for each other.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?
