Do not get me wrong break ups are hard for everyone. Especially watching the person you love, love someone else. Even more so, when that person is suppose to be your best friend.

Your best friend is suppose to be your person, your soul mate in friend form, the one person in the planet that would never ever leave you. They are probably your own form of a super hero, being able to read your mind and come to your rescue. What happens when that all disappears? A best friend break up is one of the hardest things you can go through. That person knows secrets about you, you never can get back, years of love and support are just gone.

The worst feeling in the world is sitting back and watching the person you care about the most, become that person for someone else. You never thought you and your best friend would break up, you guys already made a pact to live right next door to each other. You count on them to pick up the pieces when everything goes wrong and now you are left to do it yourself. You opened up to her in ways you have not to anyone else and your love was just not enough for them.

There is hope though because a best friend is a lot like a having a boyfriend. Meaning if it was meant to be then you would still be together. One day you will find another best friend who seems to make the world a little bit brighter and your heart a little bit lighter. You will forget what it is like to be let down and she will be able to love you in ways you did not think were possible. She is going to lift your spirits and carry your baggage with you, she will be your personal cheerleader. Just remember she is out there, you just have not found her yet.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
