Why would anyone want to work out? It takes too much time and effort to do it and then after, you're all sweaty and tired. Even if you start to work out, you have to dedicate and commit yourself to keep doing it. It all just seems unnecessary, like just give me some muscles and a six pack and call it a day. But in reality, it doesn’t come that easy. So, why even bother with all the hassle?
Well for starters working out can greatly improve your health, which you're all probably thinking “No Crap” after reading that sentence. In all seriousness, though, working out has countless numbers of health benefits. It can help lower the risk of some serious health conditions. Why not spend 30 minutes every few days to help potentially avoid serious health conditions.
Working out can also build confidence. When you start seeing those gains or shedding that weight that you always wanted to, you become more satisfied with your body and more confident in yourself. However, don’t be one of those people who always find an excuse to wear a sleeveless or take off your shirt. We are all happy you’re getting some muscles, but seriously, we don’t need to see you shirtless every second.
Not only can working out build confidence, but it can help de-stress you. After a tough day or a long week, a great way to de-stress is to workout. Working out can allow for you to forget about all your problems and take all that built up stress out and channel it into your workout. Working out can become an outlet for you to get away from all the craziness in your life.
Even with all the benefits of working out, people are still reluctant to do it. To me working out is a no-brainer. There are so many benefits that outweigh the negatives to not work out. So, why are so many people reluctant to do it? The biggest reason is the time aspect. The oldest excuse in the book is “I don’t have enough time to do that” or “I’m too tired to do that today.” By exercising for just 30 minutes a day, every other day, you could begin to feel the benefits that working out provides. Dedicating a little time during the day can go a long way to improving your health. Pick an activity or exercise routine that you enjoy, that way you will be more likely to continue exercising.
You would be surprised to see how much just 30 minutes a day can do to improve your health. Try to challenge yourself to begin working out 30 minutes a day, every other day, and maybe you will find out that you actually enjoy it. In a country where most Americans are seen as overweight or obese, why not dedicate 30 minutes a day, every other day to exercise? What is the worst that could happen?
