Why Black Widow Deserves Her Own Movie

Black Widow is easily one of the most badass characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The assassin turned Shield Agent, turned Superhero was able to keep up with the enhanced heroes since the first Avengers movie. So why hasn’t Natasha Romanoff starred in her own title Marvel movie? It's time to give Black Widow her own Movie

To start, Agent Romanoff has one of the coolest backstories of all heroes in the Universe. Black Widow grew up in the red room, a secret facility meant to train young girls into becoming expert assassins. We get a few flashbacks of young Natasha in the red room during "Age of Ultron", and get a few more details on what goes on inside of the red room in "Agent Carter" but we don't get a full backstory. We don't get to see what Black Widow actually had to go through and how it shaped her as a person. After the Red Room, Natasha was an expert assassin that Clint Barton was sent to kill. He decided to make a different call. The question is why. How did this chase go down? What made Barton change his mind? Why do we get no information about this? I need answers, Marvel!

To continue, Black widow is one of the least developed characters in the MCU, which is odd when you consider the fact that she was the third hero to appear in the universe. She showed up to the MCU before Thor, Hawkeye, and even Captain America! Yet, somehow she has had very little character development over the years. Four out the original six heroes have had at least one title movie full of backstory and character development. While Clint Barton hasn't starred in his own movie yet, he gets a little character development in "Age of Ultron" when we learn about his hidden farm family. When she first appeared, Natasha Romanoff was a kickass, lady spy with a mysterious past. After "Civil War" she has become… a kickass, lady spy with a mysterious past. Talk about character development.

Finally, Marvel only has one female-led movie planned in the foreseeable future, and that character doesn't actually exist in the universe yet! At least 46% of comic book readers and Marvel movie fans are women. It might be time to actually let a woman star in her own movie for once. I don't believe men won't watch a movie about one of the greatest Shield agents, who started out as the deadliest assassin on the planet, who was brave enough to fight aliens and killer robots without super powers or crazy armor and became a superhero, just because she is a woman. It's time for Black Widow to get her own movie!

And if those weren't enough to convince you, maybe a Black Widow movie will finally tell us what happened in Budapest.

So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
