It is the way of life

Why Balance is Key

In order to live a happy and healthy life, you must be sure to have balance. Balance is the key to everything.

Time is of the essence, so use it wisely. When it comes to school, work, and your social life you should always balance your time of each. Never allow work and school stop you from enjoying all other things in life. Be sure to give yourself a break every once and awhile because life is too short to constantly stress about your job or your grades. As much as we like to believe that the key to success is all work and no play, we are wrong. The happiest and most successful people in life are those who make time for each.

Do not allow one aspect of life control all others. Distribute the things you value most evenly.

When it comes your health, allow room to indulge. Do not limit yourself in the food you eat. While it is important to keep active and eat your fruits and veggies, this way of living is not everything. Choosing to have a lazy day or two and eat some treats and sweets is OK. The healthiest and most content people in life are those who allow themselves to splurge every once and while.

Balance the good with the bad. Never allow the bad times in life stop you from experiencing the good. Take every obstacle and struggle with stride. Do not get defeated when life gets hard. Instead, use these struggles whether that be a failed test, a falling out with a friend, or even the end of a relationship as motivation to strive for better. Experiencing equal parts of pain and pleasure will lead to a stronger, more well-rounded version of you.

So find your balance, whatever that may be, and keep at it. That is the way of life.

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
