Why Are We Wrong For Our Views And Beliefs

I am just a tad confused

I understand that everyone is going to have different views and that everyone deals with something different. What I don't understand is why everyone can't grasp that 17-word sentence and accept it.

We were all raised in a different home which means we all have our different ways of doing things, understanding things and that also includes the views we have and stand behind. Yes, we are all different we clean differently than everyone else, we cook some dishes differently, we do laundry differently, we don't eat certain foods, we have different household rules, we put our dishes away in the cabinet differently, literally everything we do is different opposed to someone else. With that being said why can't we all understand that we have different lives, political views, we have different things we go through to give us reasons to stand behind those different things and why can't we respect someone else's opinion knowing those things influence their views? Why do we get hate when we publicize our opinions that are different from someone else's, why am I told I am wrong or stupid for believing in the things that I do?

Yes some of us do not like who is now our President but some of us also did not like the other candidate and then some of us didn't like either candidate, yet people still are getting judged, hated against, being told they're wrong and so forth. How is this fair? Just because you don't believe in the marches that happened the protests that happened doesn't mean you can't give them props for actually caring about the things that they do because what if roles were reversed and you were the one being targeted? You probably wouldn't like it. Why can't we all just respect the fact that there is always going to be someone who doesn't agree with you and see things the way you do. Why do we tell children to be different and stand out when they are younger and growing up to turn around and tell them they're wrong for being different in their futures.

I guess I will never understand why can't we all just give it up already and know that this diverse, great, free country we live in has different opinions, views, and people making it go around.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
