It is 2016 so tell me why we as human beings are not treating each other with respect? I am sure I’m not the only one who is tired of hearing about another shooting, another death, and another protest. One thing we as human beings need to remember is my life or your life is not the only life that matters. I am here to tell you that all lives matter. That is a phrase used before but still not stressed enough. All lives do matter and every person should be considered your equal.

I am a firm believer that no one is born hating anything or anyone. No one is born with evil inside of them or the urge to harm one another. We are all born with love in our hearts and kindness in our souls. The problem soon begins when children learn from what they see. Through our actions and our words, growing generations learn from our societies and what we do. We all want a bright and happy future and although we know Utopia is not possible, why can’t we all at least try to make the world a better place?

Something society needs to be reminded of is no matter what color your skin is, what gender you are, what your sexuality is, your religion, disability, ethnicity, etc. we are all EQUAL. We all have souls and all have hearts so treat one another with kindness because then maybe that person will pass the kindness along and so on. Not only teach your children but teach yourself to love. Teach yourself to love all those that come in your path no matter who they are. Teach yourself to honor and appreciate those who want to help and protect you. Teach yourself to try your very best to do at least one act of kindness every day. Teach yourself to accept every single person for who they are and what they do with their lives. Most importantly, teach yourself to not be mean to others. It is such a simple thing to say but hard to do for many people. Your harm and negativity to others does not help anyone or anything I promise you that. What will change the world is the way you choose to respond to words and actions, what you teach growing generations because they learn from that, how you treat others, and how you live your life. What will change the world is equality, something everyone deserves.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
