Is I57 haunted

Why Are There So Many Wrecks

"Valier fire, respond to ........." The shrill of my husband's Fire Walkie Talkie is not a sound I enjoy. The first sound sounds like something only dogs should be able to hear. Next comes the words. Sometimes nothing is wrong and it is just a false alarm but most of the time it is not. When it's not I fear who it could be. There have been fires but so many more wrecks. You may not know much about how a 911 call works. I sure didn't before I met my husband. Everyone is called out. Not just the people that are needed but more. Ambulances, fire trucks, police officers, sometimes abbots towing are all called out at the same time. It could be to a fire or wreck, or a lift assist. Since we live in the small county of Franklin we do not have as many things going on. Lately there have been 10+ wrecks on I57 in the last 3 months. Some people say it is haunted. What do you think I am going to say? People need to learn how to drive, that's what I would say.

We always talk about how much drunk drivers need to get off of the road. Have you ever thought about you? Have you ever driven like a crazy person? I hate to say it but I have. There are so many wrecks out there caused by so much more than drunk drivers. For instance, deer, cats, dogs, semis, brakes, trees, power lines, road workers, pedestrians, and much much more. My point is watch your sourandings. Look for things you never would before. Be careful and be aware.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
