Why Are All These Tween Girls Winning America's Got Talent?
Billboard

On the night of Wednesday, September 20th, over 15 million people in the United States tuned into their local TV stations to watch the America's Got Talent Season 12 finale of a lifetime. I was one of those people watching that night with my friends and my family to see who would win the one million dollars and the Las Vegas show. We were waiting to see the winner out of the ten finalists that performed the night before. They all had outstanding points about their performances and they all deserved to be on that stage!

All ten acts that performed the night before and who were competing for the one million dollar prize and the headline show in Las Vegas were Angelica Hale, Preacher Lawson, Diavolo, Light Balance, Kechi Okwuchi, Evie Clair, Chase Goehring, Darci Lynne Farmer, Sara and Hero, and Mandy Harvey. They are all different acts from singing to dancing to comedy to ventriloquism and they all had something special to add to the night.

Meanwhile in the finale, all of the acts performed with famous people such as Kelly Clarkson, Shania Twain, James Arthur, and Terry Fator, the ventriloquist who won Season Two of America's Got Talent. That was a beautiful time with the acts getting to perform with people who would get them more out there than they already are just being on the show.

Well, if you didn't know yet, the top five for the show in order from fifth to first were Sara and Hero in fifth place, Mandy Harvey in fourth place, Light Balance in third place, Angelica Hale in second place, and the winner of the million dollars and the Vegas Show Headline was Darci Lynne Farmer.

Darci, I thought, deserved the first place spot. I know just by looking at social media that I and so many other people were all very happy or satisfied with the results of the show. Her ventriloquism is just so amazing after only two years of practice and performing and that just deserves some form of recognition alone. Darci took everything a step up with singing with her closed mouth and in her final performance, her idea of using two puppets was genius!

But I had one question after Darci won America's Got Talent this year, why are tween girls so talented?

Just think about it for a second. Darci Lynne is twelve currently and she won Season 12 this year. In Season 11 last year, Grace VanderWaal won. Grace was twelve when she auditioned and she just had turned thirteen when she won America's Got Talent. The past two seasons have both been won by little girls in their tween years.

Both of them have their own original ideas with Darci using her puppets and Grace with her singing and songwriting. They both have very unique things about them! I guess honestly tween girls are the ones that have all of the ideas because they have been using their ideas with their talents to amaze and make America fall in love with them.

Basically, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another tween girl next year who ends up getting to the top 5 and most likely win again. I wouldn't mind that either. It will just prove my fact more that tween girls are just extremely talented and they will continue to step out into the spotlight and use their talents to wow the people of the world again and again!

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
