If you're that girl who's always tired but is always on the run, these next three words are for you. I feel you.
You're in a constant state of delirium from lack of enough sleep. You start your days off bright and early with an 8 am class that you promised yourself wouldn't be so bad. Again. You plan out your day like Victoria Villarroel, Kylie Jenner's personal assistant, plans out Ms. Jenner's. Every minute of your day is calculated and reserved for a specific event. A half hour off schedule, you are completely thrown off.
The best part of all of this though is that no matter how much sleep you get that night, you will forever be tired. It's a never-ending cycle of exhaustion. You never win. There is no escape. A nap? What about it? You haven't had time for one of those since those days you refused to take them in pre-school.
You astonish yourself often, actually. You pile on responsibilities left and right as if you had all the time in the world to give. It never makes sense but you always follow through. You follow through with your eyes barely open and your coffee by your side. You meet every deadline with a great sense of achievement. You celebrate with a sigh of relief and move on to the next task.
Many people ask you how you do it? The answer is, as basic as it may sound, it's "a lifestyle". It's a lifestyle that you've grown accustomed to living throughout the years mostly because, in the beginning, you really may not have had a choice. Now, any moment of free time you have scares you. You start to over-think your daily agenda and question if maybe you have forgotten something. Being busy has turned into something of an addiction. You're addicted to being busy because you don't like time to go to waste. This mindset has its pros and cons.
If you're a sleepy girl with a busy schedule, I'm not here to tell you to chill. In fact, I understand it, I am also one. I feel like I'm going 100 miles an hour without stopping to get as much done in the day as I possibly can. It's an interesting topic because we do this to eliminate future stress while creating stress in the present. It's almost counter-intuitive.
Anyway, keep looking forward, squeeze in some time for yourself and hit the gym! Drink twice as much water as you do coffee and you got this!
