Well, none other than the Queen herself, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter!

The World was “shook” Wednesday, the first day of the new month, when Beyoncé released to the internet that she was expecting. Not just one child, but twins! This news was a shock to all considering in past interviews Bey and Jay had told the world that they were “just fine with Blue.” The fact that Beyoncé was able to hide the news for so long, considering how far along she looks, is ungodly.

This news comes soon after President Trump announced the issuing of a ban on immigrants coming into America. To be honest, this just shows that there is a little light out there in the midst of this horror world that we’re now evolving into. The fact that Beyoncé and Jay-Z decided now to be a good time to bring children into this world, baffles me. But, considering it is Queen Bey that we’re talking about, it's okay and we’ll have to let it slide.

The way in which she announced it was far different from the way she announced she was expecting the first time around, with Blue Ivy. Back in 2011, she opened the MTV: Video Music Awards with her then hit song, “Love on Top.” After the performance she decided to pull the best publicity stunt known to this day. She dropped her mic and proceeded to rub her stomach insinuating that herself and Jay-Z were expecting their first child together after being together for about a decade. That fact that she’s having twins is not a very uncommon theme, as we’ve seen among other A-list celebrities, including, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, etc.

This time, she took it upon herself to post a picture of herself in lingerie holding her stomach with a veil on her head and flowers surrounding her with the caption, “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. -The Carters” The whole photo gave off a major Virgin Mary vibe with the veil but obviously not the baby bump! Within just 4 hours she cumulated about 4 million likes, in a day it reached to 9 million. She now currently holds the record for the most liked Instagram photo which was previously held by Selena Gomez.

The Twitter and Facebook world broke into many comments about Beyoncé and her surprising news. One man even incorporated Obama into the news saying, “Obama: Girl, this country is going to hell, is there anything you can do to save us? Beyoncé: I’ll have TWINS.” The fact that people find a guiding light with this news through all the turmoil and anguish that many people around the world are feeling; just goes to show how inspiring Beyoncé can truly be. One great meme that was surfing the internet was a picture that was taken a while ago of Blue clenching her fist with the caption, along the lines of, “When your inheritance goes down from $1 billion to $333 million. Another meme included a gif of Kim Kardashian crying, presumably from an episode of Keeping Up with The Kardashians, captioned, “I need to have triplets Kanye!” Along with “civilians” reacting to the news, many keep going with the idea that Beyoncé is reincarnating Destiny’s Child, the all-female, music group that she was once apart, and got her start off in the music business, with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Some celebrities that also voiced their opinion on the new addition to the Knowles- Carter family, included; Hailey Baldwin, niece of Alec Baldwin, and model, also going to Twitter to show her excitement, as well by saying, “I feel like I’m more excited for Beyoncé to be pregnant than I will be for my own child.” Also, Chrissy Teigen said, “But really. Congrats to my best friend Beyoncé I love you so much. Hive forever.” I think it’s safe to say that all of us are Chrissy in this tweet. So much love for Beyoncé!

The next day, however, Thursday, she released more pictures from her maternity shoot. She actually released an entire album. With MORE FLOWERS! She released the album for the world to admire on her website, along with some poems from a Somali-British woman, Warsan Shire, which wasn’t the first time they’ve worked together. Shire was also featured on Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” album just last year. To go along with the album, she captioned it, “I have three hearts.” Not only were the pictures enough for her “Bey Hive” to handle but, she also included Blue in a few pictures. Some of them was Blue kissing Bey’s stomach and others was the both of them posing alongside each other.

Whether you are or aren’t a fan of Beyoncé (which I don’t get why you wouldn’t be); I think it’s safe to say that we would all want a maternity photoshoot the way Beyoncé had hers. I just need the number of her photographer, her florist, and maybe if she’s willing to spare, oh I don’t know maybe about $300 million?

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
