While you were reading this, 10,000 pounds of edible food was thrown away in the United States. In that same time 20,000 people died of starvation.

While you were reading this, 500,000 chemical reactions took place in every single cell of your body and your body kept you breathing, you didn't even notice.

While you were reading this, you lasted a minute longer then the 500 people that died because, you are stronger then you believe.

While you were reading, this Blacks were shot by cops while white protesters screamed "F*uck that N*gger" but at the same time claiming, they aren't racist and "racism isn't real."

While you were reading this, a pregnant teen who was raped struggled to get an abortion only because she knew people would hate her for it.

During this time, America bashed teen mothers but at the same time called abortion "murder."

While you were reading this, 1,000 homeless veterans have died due to taking their own life.

While you were reading this 250 babies were born but, only some of them survived.

While you were reading this, America started falling apart again.

While you were reading this, a Hillary supporter was beaten simply for "being with her."

While you were reading this, the American flag was being stomped on.

While you were reading this, Muslim women cried because they are afraid to show who they are.

While you were reading this, someone sat during the pledge of allegiance.

During that time, a disabled vet struggled to stand up.

While I was typing this, I began to realize that America isn't so great.

While you were reading this, you began to realize, America isn't so great.

While I was typing this a veteran took his life due to mental illness, neglect, and not understand why he/she was treated so poorly.

While I am typing this, it is veterans day.

Happy Veterans Day and Thank you for your service.

As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
