TV Insider

MTV’s “Teen Wolf” just announced that season six (set to air this fall) will be its final season and I am devastated. An avid “Teen Wolf” watcher since its start in 2011, I know everything there is to know about the show. I am seriously going to miss the weekly dates with my TV to catch up on everything that’s going on in Beacon Hills. One of the most impressive qualities of the show, in my opinion, is its ability to make insane supernatural events relatable through its depictions of unforgettable characters. So, in preparation for the show’s last season, I’m recapping eight of its recent most memorable characters. Read on to find out which “Teen Wolf” character you are!

(Warning: there will be spoilers if you haven't seen the show!

)

1. Scott McCall

Scott McCall (played by Tyler Posey) is a high schooler who is determined to single-handedly take on the world. The classic central character with a hero complex, Scott takes responsibility for every bad thing that happens in his hometown of Beacon Hills. Someone goes missing? Scott’s fault. Someone is injured or dies? Scott’s fault. Someone fails AP chemistry? Yeah, he’s taking the blame on that one too. Scott is most known for his upright moral compass (he has a strict rule in his pack about not killing anyone, even the bad guys) and his leadership skills. Most wolves have to kill another wolf in their pack to become an alpha (which comes with awesome abilities and extra strength), but Scott is a True Alpha, meaning that he became the leader of his pack naturally, by being a consistently all-around great guy. So, if you’re the fix-everyone’s-problems, take-on-the-world, no-one-gets-left-behind, heart-of-gold, do-good sort, then Scott is your character.

2. Stiles Stilinski

Stiles Stilinski (played by Dylan O’Brien) is the comedy relief of the show (except for that one time when he was possessed and tried to kill everyone, he wasn’t very funny then). He has no supernatural abilities, which makes every encounter he has with the creatures that go bump in the night both terrifying and hilarious. Stiles is incredibly devoted to his group of friends, always trying to keep everyone in the pack together. He’s also the most skeptical of any new character who wants to befriend the pack (no one gets past Stiles the guard dog). The detective skills that were passed down from his father, Sheriff Stilinski, usually make him the quirky, but qualified, brains of the operation. During the first few seasons, while Stiles solved all of the mysteries correctly way before anyone else, nobody took him seriously. Now, he’s considered the best detective on the team. So, if you’re the quirky, sarcastic, fiercely loyal, creative problem-solver of your squad, then Stiles is your guy.

3. Lydia Martin

Lydia Martin (played by Holland Roden) starts off as the pretty, popular, mean girl of Beacon Hills High School. Obsessed with having the best clothes, best boyfriend and prettiest friends, Lydia gets a reality check when she starts encountering the supernatural. Looking behind her vain exterior, the other characters realize that Lydia is absolutely brilliant, making her an excellent addition to the pack. Lydia also develops amazing supernatural powers throughout the series, eventually discovering that she is a banshee. As a banshee, the ultimate whistle-blower of impending doom and death, Lydia’s character development can be pretty dark nowadays. She’s dealt with supernatural delusions and voices in her head since the show’s second season. Her sharp wit and sarcasm remain in tact throughout all of her hardships, but, underneath everything, she is extremely devoted to the pack and cares deeply about her group of friends. So, if you’re witty, intelligent, secretly warmhearted and have a glass-shatteringly loud scream, along with a keen sense of when things are about to go wrong, Lydia’s your gal.

4. Allison Argent

Allison Argent (played by Crystal Reed) is the fierce female character who ultimately dies to save her friends (it’s been three seasons and I still want to cry writing this sentence). In season one, Allison is the warm, friendly and open new girl in Beacon Hills. She somehow befriends both Scott and Lydia, who are at complete opposite poles of the social hierarchy. Allison seems sweet enough at first, but, after Scott becomes a werewolf, he discovers that the Argents are one of the oldest werewolf-hunting families around. Despite her family’s biases, Allison is able to look past the supernatural creatures in her life to understand their human selves. She’s also an incredible archer, and a strong, independent character who will do whatever it takes to do what she thinks is right (even if the other characters don’t agree with her). So, if you’re simultaneously kind-hearted and fierce, gentle and powerful, and you would die to protect your group of friends, you’re definitely an Allison.

5. Malia Tate

Malia Tate (played by Shelley Hennig) has been a coyote for the majority of her life, due to an accident when she was younger that led her to evolve into her coyote form without knowing how to change back. Immune to social graces, Malia is very blunt, but not very sympathetic. However, once she trusts someone, it’s completely ride or die, as coyotes are apparently extremely loyal once they form bonds. She is the sassy, spunky, and straightforward member of the pack. Although not necessarily book smart, Malia has killer instincts that help the pack to figure out difficult situations. So, if you’re street smart, brutally honest, and audacious (and you like to eat a good deer now and then), then Malia is your character.

6. Kira Yukimura

Kira Yukimura (played by Arden Cho) is the awkward cute girl who can also wield a sword like a pro. Kira moved to Beacon Hills in season three and somehow pushed past the pack’s icy exterior to find herself a welcome place in the group. Kira is unbelievably clumsy and every situation becomes more awkward when she is added to the equation. She is also a Kitsune (or fox) and has to struggle against her powerful inner spirit to protect those she loves from her unwieldy amount of supernatural power. Kira’s weapon of choice is a sword, and she definitely knows how and when to use it. So, if you’re equal parts awkward and powerful, and you have an inner strength that might pose a threat to those around you, then you are a verified Kira.

7. Liam Dunbar

Liam Dunbar (played by Dylan Sprayberry) is the quick-tempered young protegee of Scott. In season four, Liam was changed into a werewolf by Scott in order to save his life. Ever since, Scott has taken Liam under his wing (or paw, I guess) to teach him the ropes of being a werewolf. Eager to gain the respect of the pack, Liam tries to keep his anger in check in order to impress Scott and to avoid causing any problems. Although this endeavor hasn’t always worked in his favor, Liam always remains committed to the pack, no matter what. So, if you’re eager-to-please, naive, and dedicated, and you occasionally struggle with anger management, you’re a Liam.

8. Theo Raeken

Theo Raeken (played by Cody Christian) is the literal spawn of Satan. His two specialties are calculated murder and manipulating innocent people to gain power. Scott originally trusted him while Stiles definitely did not (I reiterate, no one gets past Stiles the guard dog), which, for a while, tore apart the otherwise unbreakable friendship between Scott and Stiles. Theo spent the entire first half of season five acting innocent while he ruined people’s lives behind the scenes. He even murdered his own sister when he was younger! So, if you’re a terrible person who loves to torture others, but you’re also really good at hiding it, you’re a total Theo.

I've lived a whole 21 years with an RBF (Resting Bitch Face), so naturally, I go through most of these struggles on a daily basis.

And before you ask, yes I'm fine. No, I'm not mad. This is just my face, so take it or leave it! To those of you who have been #blessed with an RBF, you'll probably relate to these more than you'd like to:

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
