If The Cast Of 'Friends' Were BFFs With Hogwarts Professors

The one where the Wizarding world and the Muggle world collide.

I'm the type of person who gets overly immersed into whatever book I'm reading or whatever show I'm binging. Because of this, I got to thinking about what if two of my favorite worlds collided... I also began seeing similarities between some of the "Harry Potter" and "Friends" characters, since I'm currently watching "Friends" on Netflix and re-reading "Harry Potter." Therefore, the only logical thing I could do was figure out who would be BFFs with who if these two worlds actually did collide... You know, because I'm an adult and stuff.

Here you have it:

Minerva McGonagall and Monica Geller

These two are a perfect match. Whether it be living room furniture or young wizards-in-the-making, both of these lady-bosses love everything to be just the way they like it, and if anything gets in the way of their orderliness, watch out! Although, as tough and strict as they may be, they are both some of the kindest people of the Magic and non-Magic worlds.

Rubeus Hagrid and Joey Tribbiani

Though Hagrid may prefer dangerous magical creatures over the ladies, I have a feeling him and Joey would get along swimmingly. Both men are secretly sensitive, despite how they look on the outside... And despite both of them not being the brightest crayons in the box, they care an awful lot about their friends and would do anything to protect them from harm. I also feel as if Hagrid could help Joey with his acting since, you know, Hagrid is most likely one of the most wonderfully over-dramatic characters in the series.

Sybil Trelawney and Phoebe Buffay

Now the reasons I paired these two mystical characters up are simply obvious. I could picture Sybil and Phoebe spending hours upon hours gazing into crystal balls and contemplating the horrific fates of those around them. Seriously, how much more fun could you have?

Filius Flitwick and Ross Geller

I honestly don't know my exact reasoning for these two, but I do know that they would be a great duo. I can just picture them skipping through a magical field somewhere or sipping on cherry syrup and sodas while discussing what it truly means to be a professor. Am I alone on this?

Gilderoy Lockhart and Rachel Green

Something tells me that Rachel Green, if she were a part of the wizarding world, would be one of those witches who finds herself giggling uncontrollably at any mention of Lockhart’s name (that is, before he confounded himself). I also believe that if the two were to meet, Rachel would be very content with listening to Gilderoy rant about his greatest "achievements," which is, of course, his favorite thing to do.

Remus Lupin and Chandler Bing

Both of these men, in my opinion, are the underdogs. While both are often overlooked by those around them, they actually have a kindness and selflessness in them that isn't seen in many others.

Argus Filch and Gunther... Did they ever say his last name?

Even though Filch isn't really a professor at Hogwarts, I still decided to throw him into the mix because I can see Gunther and him getting along... Well, maybe not getting along, but there are definitely some similarities between the pair. Both slave away, cleaning up after everyone, never getting any acknowledgment... Maybe they could bond over their mutual sorrows. Gunther could talk about his hopeless love for Rachel, while Filch can ponder over why Mrs.Norris is a cat and not a human.

Well, that's all I have. I couldn't come up with a "Friends" character that I could see naturally befriending Professor Dumbledore or Professor Snape, mainly because these two are just extremely distinct entities, and the "Friends" characters just wouldn't be able to handle them. Other than that, I could see some serious friendship potential here.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
