Which "Friends" Character Are You?

MONICA

If you are a “Monica” you are very anal about keeping your living space ridiculously clean and organized at all costs. You also don’t need any help in the kitchen, you can cook amazing food and you know it. Because of all of these things you are always the hostess. You love entertaining and you are definitely a people-pleaser. You may have been overweight or unfortunate looking at one point in your life but now you are smoking hot and date guys everyone else wants — except you will end up marrying your Chandler. Your true desire is to find someone kind, caring, and funny, rather than just a hunky cigar smoker. You know what you want in life and are a go-getter. People might view you as a bit controlling and bossy, but you just like to get things done the right way. You are also a very loyal friend and will take anyone under your wing in a time of need. At the end of the day you may come off as an uptight crazy person, but deep down you are a wonderful person who just knows how to get things done!

JOEY

How you doin'? You are without a doubt smooth with the opposite sex and know how to charm your way into and out of any situation. You have the Italian tendencies making you somewhat loud and you love to eat. Joey doesn't share food! But you are always willing to order an extra pizza so your friends can have some too. You are a wonderful friend and genuinely care about your friends as if they are your family. You shoot for the stars when it comes to your dreams; you are definitely willing to struggle through some supporting roles until you get your big break. You are the wild one in your friend group; if someone had to guess who had sex with a stripper or on the Stanton Island ferry, it would be you. No matter what, you are a great friend and always a great time to hangout with.

PHEOBE

You are very eccentric but it is your quirks and oddities that make you so lovable. Some of the things you do would be questionable in someone else, but when you do them they are the norm. Your life has never been easy but you have maintained a positive attitude toward the world. Even though the world has been cruel to you, you still strive to make it a better and happier place. People see you as a free spirit and a loose canon, changing the lives of everyone you meet. Your views may be different than everyone else’s but your point of view is refreshing and genuine. If anyone ever needs a favor you are there for your friends whether it is spotting someone some money or being a surrogate mother; you give the ultimate favors and don’t ask for much in return. If you are not a vegetarian you are still a huge animal lover and hate all of the inhumane acts in the world. You are also against big industries such as PBS and Pottery Barn. Your past makes you feel compassion for everyone and want to help those in need more than the average person. Doing what makes you happy is all that matters; nobody's judgments can stop you from having a great life. You might not play the guitar or make your own shoes but you have little hobbies that keep you happy and spread the joy on to the rest of the world.

ROSS

People think of you as somewhat of a nerd and they are not wrong. You probably have an assortment of collections and have some science fair metals under your belt. You are completely oblivious to how nerdy you are but it’s part of what makes you so adorable. You are very passionate and as far as your love life goes you are the ultimate Gatsby; love is worth waiting for and you don’t want to settle for anything less than the love of your life. You are a very loyal friend and still hang out with the people you met in high school and college. Like Phoebe, you are not the best musician but you still have a passion for music that you want to share with the world. You don’t have the best luck and can be doubted by others but you always manage to make it work…even if it means you have to fake a British accent to accomplish it.

RACHEL

Life has been pretty good to you your whole life; you have been spoiled and you are not used to things not going your way. You are strong enough to break free from the life you’ve always known and instead of choosing to glide by in life you make the brave choice to become independent and actually quite successful. You are very brave and learn to do things on your own when you could have taken the easy road. You are far more bright and capable than you are aware of, but you take the time to let your creativity be put to good use. You know how to get what you want and use your powers to your advantage.

CHANDLER

You are the epitome of a class clown and use humor to make any situation less awkward, but sometimes it just makes things ten times more awkward. Giving advice is not a great idea; your fear of commitment and weirdness is not a good influence on others. These qualities are enough to drive any significant other away, but you will find someone just as crazy and weird. If you are the Chandler of your friend group everyone can look to you for a good laugh and an awkward conversation. You are clever and fun and always a good friend to be around!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
