Night time’s when the demons come.
In groups, not just a single one.
That’s what makes the battle harder,
Typically I lose to them and become darker.
I have one demon who likes to insult me.
She fills my head with lies,
or truths,
(My mind can’t really sort them out), but
She loves to tell me what to fix physically though I can’t
(Because it’s who I am),
On the outside; on the inside
Is no better because to her, I’m ugly there, too.
Some people have told me what she says isn’t true, but
(The insults) had to have gotten to this demon somehow.
I have another demon who I believe was
(Created by my pain) of become too attached to people.
(It comes often and leaves often),
and when it comes back,
(it’s never the same one).
Because when I get attached to someone, they go somewhere, but
(never back here, to me).
And it’s its fault.
Once again, this demon didn’t come from nowhere.
Another demon is one that makes you hateful.
He drowns out the love in your body.
He reminds you:
(No one cares),
(You’re worthless),
(You’re nothing),
You’re
(happiness is fake).
He fills you with fire and lava
getting ready to make you explode.
And once he decides to erupt you, it causes hell.
(You didn’t mean to give in though).
He just has that power.
(Power) that (comes from built up emotion).
The last demon is one that
only comes by so often.
This demon is the worst kind of demon.
He sneaks his way up to you.
He starts off weak making
(you think you’re strong),
But then he attacks, leaving you in bed with no appetite.
He likes to numb you, but doesn’t use drugs to,
Though some may turn to those because of him.
Drugs aren’t all people turn to, though.
He gives you options, so you can have your pick, but
I’ll keep my choices private.
This demon then gets so strong, now making
(you the weak one).
He stabs you to death.
He chokes you.
He drowns you,
(in your mind).
(‘Til you finally die).
And he never gives up until he does [keep fighting though].
Of course, there are many other demons,
but these are the ones visiting me tonight.
So I will leave you, that way I can rest,
but after I make my point.
The point is this.
These demons aren’t things created by a person’s mind,
Because that person’s mind is developed from their environment.
Were they shown love, or hate?
Were they cared for, or beaten up?
Did they have a friend, or left alone?
Was their family there, or did they leave?
Most importantly, though,
Have you been kind to them?
Have you shown love to them?
Have you been caring toward them?
Have you brought a smile to their face?
Or are you the one creating the demons to haunt them?
