Seven Bulldogs were drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft and four signed as undrafted free agents. Deandre Baker, who was taken in the first round by New York, was the first cornerback off the board. There was no consensus on the top defensive back prospect but Baker was in every conversation for the top spot.

Kansas City took Mecole Hardman in the second round as he will likely be groomed in the Tyreek Hill role. Hill's future in the league is in question due to domestic violence accusations that surfaced over the past month. Hardman has a similar play style to Hill with an abundance of speed and athleticism.

D'Andre Walker may have fallen into a perfect position to succeed. The Tennessee Titans a 3-4 defense, providing opportunities for a player like Walker to find their niche as an edge rusher.

Despite his rough outing at the combine, Elijah Holyfield was still expected to be drafted in the middle rounds. He fell undrafted but, like Walker, may have found an excellent team fit. Behind Christian McCaffrey, The Panthers were in desperate need of a complementary running back which is exactly what the team will get with Holyfield's power-running style.

Isaac Nauta was a true wild card in the 2019 draft as he tested among the bottom of his position group in the combine as well. He has surprisingly adept hands in the passing game and was a strong blocker in the run game. He is likely to succeed next to an improved offensive line in Detroit and former SEC standout Kerryon Johnson running behind him.

The past few seasons have seen many Bulldogs excel at the professional level. Players including Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, and Roquan Smith have been difference makers in the NFL. The new crop of Georgia standouts is poised to join in on the fun.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
