Things that have little significance can so easily take up our time and care.
Why, when I lose my keys, do I become concerned and ask for help finding them? Because they have value.
So why, when it comes to eternal matters, do I stay silent? Where is my treasure?
Matthew 6:28 says that where your heart is your treasure will be also.
When have I asked for help in finding new facets of God’s character? Or asked for help in praying bolder prayers?
When have I asked for help in seeking out God’s kingdom?
That question sits heavy on my heart.
I guess I'm hesitant to ask for help because I don’t want to appear to be lacking in wisdom.
I guess I'm hesitant because I know that when I pray bolder prayers God hears them and answers.
Sometimes I question if I really want to be used by God because that can be scary and uncomfortable.
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Where is your treasure?
Shift your focus. Ask for help. Seek God in prayer. He will use you. He will increase your faith. Then you will know where your treasure is.
