Where are you?
I mean, not physically, but in a deeper way.
Where are you?
Maybe you're sitting in a morning class, but maybe you're already at lunch.
Maybe you're on your way to work, but maybe you're on your way home.
Maybe you're standing in front of a crowd, but maybe you're already in bed.
What if you were actually at point A? What if you were in class, on your way to work, in front of the crowd.
And then when you're finished, you're at point B. Lunch, your way home, in your bed.
Maybe things would be simpler. Maybe you wouldn't have to power through,
Maybe things could actually give you life.
If you dismiss your activities, the ones you are doing right here and now, then you will never be satisfied. How can we be satisfied with something that is not yet?
If you aren't here now, will you ever be?
So, we slow down.
We breathe in and out,
We remember where we are. We give some, but little attention to how we got there and where we will be next.
And when we are where we are, that's all we have to worry about.
Yes planning, yes memories, but here.
It's not black and white, here or then thing. It's all-encompassing,
Then, but HERE.
You can have the freedom to enjoy your life. It is yours. There is no shame. You are you, and you are here. Sometimes it hurts, but it hurts more if you zone out of it.
Be here. Breathe.
Thanks be to God.
