Oh, traveling to the great unknown! Something I'm pretty sure most of us would love to do.

So what are our top choices for this year? Especially since we are all college students and we are all struggling to make ends meet with the part-time jobs and the hopeful Christmas cards filled with cash to get us by. Most people like to fly and stay in a hotel. I prefer to take a bus and view the country side and stay in a hostel where you can meet many other exciting individuals even more so because it's the cheapest. Besides, NYC can become a bore sometimes and us New Yorkers need to venture elsewhere.

With a little bit of research, I found the top 10 places to visit in the U.S according to the U.S. News & World Report's Best Rankings for 2017.

1. Yellowstone

Who doesn't want to take a trip to one of America's most beloved national parks. Yellowstone National Park's attractions speaks for themselves. All of it's wildlife and the wondrous expanse of forest with hidden treasures of waterfalls and creeks. Not only to mention one of the most famous scenic sites, Jackson Hole. I almost forgot to mention, you could also go on amazing white water rafting expeditions on the snake river with family and friends.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
