Now, I don't know if you were anything like me, but as a small child and middle schooler I looked up to the numerous Disney Channel actors that graced my television with their presence on the daily. I wanted to look like them, act like them, and even be apart of their show. That way, I could always be around them, they would know me, and we would be friends (come on don't act like you didn't think like this either). So, if you were just as much of a Disney enthusiast as I was, here's an up to date look into what some of your favorite and forgotten stars are up to these days.
1. Christy Carlson Romano (Ren Stevens – "Even Stevens")
Our favorite TV big sister is now raising a family of her own. Romano and her husband recently welcomed their first child back in December. Though it's been a while since we've last seen her, Romano has continued her career in acting by appearing in small roles in independent feature films and films that are set to release within the year.
2. Adam Lamberg (Gordo Gordon – "Lizzie McGuire")
Believe it or not, yes, this is, in fact, the same person in the side by side frame. The boy who practically invented the "friend zone" is now 31 and works as a developmental associate at the Irish Arts Center in New York City, where he is also studying for a masters degree in Public Administration.
3. Anneliese van der Pol (Chelsea Daniels – "That's So Raven")
To me, van der Pol was the epitome of comedy back when this show was in it's prime. Since her time on Disney, she had appeared in Broadway's "Beauty and the Beast" as Belle and many other off-Broadway shows. She is expected to return as Chelsea in Raven Symone's upcoming spin-off series.
4. Raviv Ullman (Phil Diffy – "Phil of the Future")
After the show's two-year run, Ullman actually made numerous cameos on other primetime shows like, "House," "Cold Case," "Rita Rocks," and "Broad City." He also hit the big screen with roles in two major motion pictures; "Normal Adolescent Behavior" and "How to Make Love to a Woman."
5. Phill Lewis (Mr. Moseby – "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody")
Everyone's favorite adult to mess with still keeps in touch with his former cast mates today, as he wished Cole Sprouse luck in his new show on The CW. After "The Suite Life's" demise back in 2008, Lewis actually went on to direct many of the Disney Channel shows that premiered in later years, like "Good Luck, Charlie" and "A.N.T. Farm."
6. Jason Earles (Jackson Stewart – "Hannah Montana")
Earles is actually turning 40 this year! No offense if that sounded like too much of a shock, but it just feels like yesterday we saw him as Miley's brother in college. That's because Earles started the show as a 29-year-old, playing a 16-year-old back in 2006; damn did he do a pretty good job. Earles has kept up his acting career by remaining on the Disney Channel and appearing as Rudy in "Kickin' It."
7. Madison Pettis (Sophie Martinez – "Cory in the House")
In her years since being known as "America's sweetheart," Madison actually graduated from high school and attends NYU's TISCH School of Arts.
8. Ashley Leggat (Casey McDonald – "Life with Derek")
The Canadian actress actually created a movie that was a spinoff of the show after it's series finale. It premiered back in June of 2010 in Canada and in 2011 in the U.S. Leggat is also very close and seems to keep in touch with her on-screen brother. She has also been seen in Lindsay Lohan's box-office smash, "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen."
9. David Henrie (Justin Russo – "Wizards of Waverly Place")
Henrie is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend (sorry to all those who shipped him with Selena). However, the duo did recently post to Snapchat about maybe producing a Wizards reunion... hmm...
10. Sterling Knight (Chad Dylan Cooper – "Sonny with a Chance")
i loThere really wasn't much this kid did post "Sonny with a Chance," except his phenomenal role in "Starstruckk" of course. However, it does kind of look like Sterling has packed on the pounds since his on-camera appearances. Careful, Sterling!
