Quotes Gram

There are days when you feel down, and its as if no one cares, but try to keep these few things in mind:

1. You are worth more than what you're thinking at that moment.

So you had a bad day, or week, or weeks, but you will be okay. It will be tough, but I promise you are not pathetic, or a failure, or trash, you are a wonderful person who should be thinking positively about yourself, not negatively.

2. Take a deep breath, exhale, and think through the situation instead of crying... again.

Sometimes in life, all you need is a good breather. So take a deep breath, hold it, and then exhale. Then when you've calmed down, try to calmly think about the issue again. Logic is always better than emotion in this case.

3. Today may not be your day, but make tomorrow your day for sure.

Making the next day a better one is as simple as treating yourself, or accomplishing small tasks. You would be amazed at how it feels to have a crap week, but by God your room is spotless!

4. Quality friend time > sad alone time.

Being alone and sad are two of the worst things. Try to get out and about and make yourself be social. Being around those you love tend to make you feel better.

5. Hobbies can help cheer you up, and even boost your self confidence.

Good at sports? Like to paint? Hobbies are a great way to relieve stress, but also teaching someone your hobby or encouraging someone to do the hobby with you can help you get out of that set funk.

6. BUT MOST OF ALL, Never forget that it will pass.

Whatever is bothering you will pass. It will become another day, another memory, another mindless thought. Don't let it haunt you. Instead, make fast with the present. There is so much world to see and explore, and if you let little things hang you up, you'll miss out. So look forward with your head high, and go towards your future with the bright possibilities, not the past with the sorrowful problems.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
