Mostly every teenager is awaiting the day they turn 21, when they are finally an adult. Myself and the very few others couldn't have cared less about turning 21. We all do things differently, some enjoy ringing in their adulthood with multiple bottles of alcohol at a bar late at night but this girl likes her early bedtime and enjoyed ringing in adulthood with my parents and my one closest friend while the sun was still up. Now that 21 has set in and I'm officially a real adult I am ready to actually be a real adult. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly ready to be at the stage tomorrow but I'm not gonna hate it when the time does come. Sometimes I feel as if I were born to just be retired with a good book in hand on a beach somewhere. Here are some ways you know you were meant to skip the 20 somethings.

1. You aren't the party kid

8 o'clock comes around and you're ready for bed, I mean ready. It's the best part of the day, where you can put on comfy clothes and turn on the most recent Netflix binge and snuggle up with a tub of ice cream. Probably after a hot bubble bath.

2. You have your wedding planned out

Not that you want to get married tomorrow or anytime soon but you have it all planned out down to the napkin color. Mostly, you want to have the wedding for all of the very cool kitchen ware you will receive.

3. You can't wait to have mom friends

Having mommy and me classes sounds like the most fun to you. You can't wait to discuss the latest mommy trends with you're mom friends while your kids play with theirs on a play ground somewhere.

4. You have a very long list of baby names

The list goes on and on. Foreign names, names from the 50's, popular names from hit movies, names of your favorite celebrities. Can't forget to work in some family names in there somewhere. At the rate that you're at you might need to have at least 12 kids, but that's totally okay with you, the more the merrier right?

5. You find yourself bringing the topics up in conversation with friends that actually want to enjoy their 20's

It's hard to relate to a story of a wild night out when you're response is, "Oh that sounds fun, I was thinking of naming my baby that!" after hearing a story of your friends new crazy friend. Talking about house design, bridesmaids dresses colors, and career choices are your favorite type of conversation.

6. Child Psychology class is your highest grade

Is it even considered a credited class when you are taking it for the sole reason of bettering your future parenting skills?

7. When shopping you find yourself in the baby section more than ones that interest you

I mean come on, anything tiny is instantly more adorable. OK, I have no excuses.

8. You're mom is your best friend

You want to learn everything you can from her, you ask her question about what kind of books she read you when you were little, whether she let you have a pacifier or not. I mean who else to ask these questions to other than someone who created such a great human.

9. Books are your best friend

A good day for you is somewhere reading a good book, away from your cell phone or the real world. Just you and the book.

10. You're more than ready to decorate a home

Sometimes this is all you can think about.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
