What To Do When You Procrastinated On Your Birthday Plans

My 21st is coming up in a month. I am only a month away, and I have not even begun to narrow done my birthday plans. Hopefully, you will not find yourself procrastinating like me, but in case you are here is a list of interesting things to do.

1. Plan a trip to New Orleans

I have discovered this fantastic site called Airbnb, a website that allows you to find a place to stay at a significantly lower price.

2. Hello, girls weekend!

My best friend is taking off of work so that we can celebrate my birthday. I am still uncertain if this means staying in my town and celebrating or going out of the city. Either way enjoying your birthday with your friends is a day well spent.

3. Go to a spa

I know it sounds lame for your 21st, but have you heard of enjoying a glass of wine, while getting an amazing massage?

4. Enjoy a BBQ at the pool

If you aren't fortunate enough to have a pool at your place, just skip this one. But if you are fortunate enough to have one purchase some alcohol or not (whatever your thing might be) and don't forget the bbq essentials and just enjoy a beautiful day with friends at the pool.

5. Last but not least wait until the day of

If you are anything like me you are going to wait until the day of and still not know what to do. Fingers crossed that I will utilize the many Pinterest boards and Airbnb boards that I have created. Maybe a friend will plan it all out? Isn't that how this is supposed to work?

Ultimately, it is time for you to step up your game and plan your birthday. I know it is easier to wait last minute, but it is your 21st. You have to start prepping for that birthday. Trust me, I should know procrastination is not what it is cracked up to be.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
