As a firm believer in the universe, I try to live my life based on the cliche quotes that you've likely tweeted one too many times. My favorite quote is a line by Marilyn Monroe, I believe that everything happens for a reason. For a while, no matter what happened, I was constantly telling myself that, no matter the circumstance or result, it was supposed to happen. At times I thought, there is no way this is supposed to happen like that, but I trusted the universe and just let it takes it course, and I am forever grateful I did.
Recently, I've began a life in the city. It's not something I was completely familiar with, but had an idea about. I left my friends at my old school, and am seeking new friends at my current school, and although these aren't always the easiest circumstances as a junior in college, I know it is completely worth it. I'm aware of this because of the feelings that overtake my body as I go class to class, and live life day after day. I can honestly say I know the exact reason that l transferred, and moved to the city: to be utterly and confidently happy. The city is a place that already has my whole heart and happiness, and it has only been about a week.
I have a constant feeling of excitement and pure joy like never before. Although, at times, I am unsure of many things, this is something I am positive about.
I'm not writing this to share my story about how I transferred, but rather, to let all my readers know that, it is okay to trust your gut. Those around you may appear to have believe they know what's in your best interest, but the only person that genuinely does is you. For some crazy reason, something invisible to the human eye has an incredible way of changing your life. If you feel like you're in the right place, you likely are, and vice versa. Our body's know us more than we give them credit for.
Trust your journey in life, because everything that happens is likely preparing you for substantial merriment.
