It's always a great moment in life when you meet someone with the same name as you. It can be a way of bonding, and even if you're not close, it's always fun to confuse people. Then there's the case of the good friend that has the same first name as you. Now that is always a fun adventure. I now present to you, things that happen when you have a good friend with the same first name as you.

1. If you pronounce your names differently, it's always a slight struggle to explain this to other people. Shoutout to my wrong half, Andrea, and how she pronounces her name.

2. When someone calls out your name, and you both turn around. I swear this happens because I always forget most people don't realize my name is Andrea.

3. Having all the inside jokes relating to your name.

4. Accidentally confusing people when you both have to introduce yourself at the same time, mostly when it comes down to pronunciation as I have noticed.

5. Feeling the exact same struggle when it comes down to finding things with your name on it if your name isn't mad popular. When you do finally find something, you end up buying another one for your same twin.

6. When you reminisce about how you met your name twin, and it all comes down to the fact that you guys share the same first name.

7. They understand the struggles you feel when your name gets pronounced wrong.

8. Making jokes about how you're basically the other person because you share the same name and interests. As someone with a lovely friend that shares the same name as me, I can confirm this does happen.

9. When you explain to other people that you have a friend with the same name, and they just don't get the bond you have and look at you funny when you and your name twin do matching things or are basically the same person.

10. Just having the same name as a good friend in itself is frickin wonderful and fun.

In the end there's just something absolutely awesome about having a good friend that shares the same first name as you. It can lead it hilarious adventures. Honestly having any friends with the same name as you is great, no matter what level of friendship. Bonding through first names is always fun especially when you might not necessarily have the most common name.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
