I'll admit when I was a little girl I was a little scared of the Grinch. I thought he was gross, scary, creepy, and just straight out mean. But now, watching as an adult/stressed out college student, and seeing all of the Grinch memes I only have one thought--oh my god, I am the Grinch. And I'm completely okay with it.


When your friends beg you to come out after you've been laying on the couch watching TV all weekend:


When they tell you they'll be food there so you finally agree to go:


When you're making a list of all the things you need to do for school this week:


A continuation of the daily to-do list:


When you finally finish your to-do list and realize school will be the death of you:


When your mom walks into your room for no reason without knocking:


When the weird Tinder guy persistently asks when you're free:


Scrolling through your Instagram feed looking at all the happy couples and pretty skinny girls:


When you continue to question why you're still single then you realize:


When you actually make eye contact with a cute guy and he smiles at you:

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating.
