When You Give A Girl A Boyfriend

And vice versa, of course.

When You Give A Girl A Boyfriend

When you give a girl a boyfriend, she will watch his every move, the way the sun shines on his face when he sleeps in the car as she drives. She will study his face, every mole, freckle, curve and even the pimples. She will study it so much that every time she closes her eyes, she will see only see him. When you give a girl a boyfriend, she will memorize his scents. His sweat, his favorite cologne, his hair after a shower. She will nuzzle her face in his neck and take a deep breath. The best form of aromatherapy there is. When you give a girl a boyfriend, she will cry. And she will sob, she will feel ugly, cover her face, and he will be there to hold her. Especially if he is the reason for her weeping. He won't run away, he will drown himself in nothing more than her tears. He will make her smile, wipe away her tears and hold her for as long as it takes for her to calm down. He will take her hand and step in front of her when she needs protection. She is strong, independent, and she will let him know that she doesn't need him to protect her, but she loves it when he does. She will think the world of him. When you give a girl a boyfriend, she will talk endlessly about him, simply because he is her whole world. When you give a girl a boyfriend, she will plan camping trips that sound amazing. Then, when they get there, the skies cloud over and it pours for two days straight. He will probably be mad, but she is the best form of light. She will ignore his grumpiness and make him play Monopoly in the tent with the sound of the rain calming his anger. He will smile because she is all his, every piece.

When you give a boy a girlfriend, he will watch her every move. He will study her face until when he closes his eyes, she is all he sees. When you give a boy a girlfriend, she will cook for him. Even though she sucks at it. When you give a boy a girlfriend, she will then eat all of his food and ask for more. She will wake up in the middle of the night and beg him for cuddles. Because everyone loves cuddles. When you give a boy a girlfriend, she will be stubborn. She will beg him to buy the jar of pickles that are the chips because that's what she likes. Even though knows he only likes whole pickles. They will argue in the aisle and she will pout. She will tell him, "But THESE are zero calories!" Then he will realize, before her, that pickles are not worth an argument and let her get the damn zero calorie pickles. Right after she smiles that she won the argument, she will feel bad and offer to get the whole pickles, because she can just cut them. He will probably be annoyed, but he will just take her hand and lead her to the checkout. When you give a girl a boyfriend, they become best friends. Time never goes by slow. It is way too precious to go slow. No matter how hard they try, it will always fly. Only making them want more. When you give a boy a girlfriend, he should never treat her like anything less that the rare gem that she is. And she will treat him the same. For there is nothing more beautiful than love. There is nothing greater than a bond between two souls that is so strong that they don't even have to try to be together. They have a magnetic attraction pulsing with life. Lastly, when you give a girl a boyfriend, she should always get the best back rubs, candles and all. Because that, is just plain romantic.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
