When You Are Feeling Down

This is for all the people out there who recently hit a rough patch when trying to find happiness! We all make mistakes & we all go through obstacles in order to get to where we really want to be. It is okay to feel down, but you have to remember to pick yourself back up because YOU are worth it.

1. Remember who you are

Do not forget who you really are and do not try to be someone you are not. A lot of people sometimes need to remember why they are on this earth & their purpose for being here. Everyone has a purpose & if you have trouble remembering, just think to yourself "I am me, and I love me."

2. Remember what is important

Your life, your happiness, your health is all extremely important to you. This life you live, the happiness you want to have, and the healthiness you are striving for. Do not give up, but push yourself harder.

3. Remember your friends and family

Your friends and family are crucial to remember when you are feeling down. They comfort you, support, you, and love you no matter how crazy you are.

4. Remember your goal

If you have a set goal whether that be a healthy lifestyle, what you want your happiness to look like, etc. KEEP THAT GOAL. You are working towards something & that will keep you going. Feeling a little down here and there is normal, but if you keep thinking about that goal, you will be on the right track to success.

5. Remember your success

You must have a bunch of success that make you proud of you. You've done something to make the others around you proud of who you are as well. They can be little successes or gigantic. Each one is very special and should never be forgotten.

6. Remember your hardships

It is important to remember your hardships that you faced so in the future, you know that it is okay to have downfalls. I know they are not fun whatsoever, but they are key in helping you to live a happier and healthier life.

7. Remember your flaws

Embrace your flaws to the best of your ability because that is what makes you so incredibly special. Please do not hide your flaws because there is no point in hiding them. Show people the real you.

8. Remember to have self love

Loving yourself is the step in the right direction. Nowadays so many people have a lack of self love and it makes me so sad. (Even I have lack of confidence and I wish I did not) We need to unite together and remember that self love is SOOOO IMPORTANT. Tell yourself something that you love about yourself each and every day.

9. Remember why you are here

You have a story to tell in this crazy thing called life. You are here to live your story and make the most out of it. Everyone only gets one life so why waste it? EMBRACE IT.

10. Remember your memories

You make memories in this life for a reason & that is to look back on them and remind yourself how good you have it. Remember graduating high school with your friends, remember that family vacation you took, remember how great the summers are. Remind yourself that you have a freakin' awesome life.

Good Luck :)

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
